Testing the Water
Hey, y'all . . . I'm hijacking Elisabeth's day (since she's offline due to computer issues) to ask a quick question. In the comments for my Friday post, Joan and I were talking about my English major background as a shortcut to the study of craft. Anyway, I got to thinking . . .
If I put together a mini-workshop on the study of syntax and diction in other authors' work (maybe in late May or early June), would anyone be interested?

Shortcut??? No WAY! No shortcut about majoring in English!!! You took the long and in-depth route to learning craft! That's why you don't have to focus on it now -- it's ingrained.
I'd love a mini course focused on other's writing. (Most of it will probably go over my head, but I'll catch what I can.) I think there is sooo much to learn by studying others, which I get very little time to do.
Linda,
This is the first time I've had any luck opening the comments section on RWKF in a long, long time. So I'm responding late, but I guess that's better than never.
I think a mini course on this would be very interesting. So I say go for it!!
